A little about our company

We believe the key to a great business is through its culture.  Everyone in our business must hold the same core values of honesty, reliability and a will to serve our clients in a professional and courteous manner.

Watermark was established in November 1990 and designed to be different by placing our clients’ interests before profit. We coach our people to put themselves in your shoes and deal with you how they would like to be dealt with.  The unshakeable belief is that this approach builds trust, sustainable client relationships, lots of referrals to family and friends, and, ultimately, we would be profitable.

Through this ethos, we have built hundreds of long-term client relationships and developed our business into a strong and successful company. Many local solicitors and accountants recommend us to their clients, not to receive an introducer payment, but because they know we are reliable, trusted and the way we deal with their clients reflects well on them.

We have always embraced change and new technology to stay at the vanguard of our sector.

We aim to provide the very best financial planning advice to trustees, attorneys, deputies, individuals and businesses through highly qualified, specialist advisers.

We do not target our advisers to produce a certain amount of business income. We target quality of advice and superior client outcomes and endeavour to exceed 100% of our clients’ expectations with nil complaints.

"I have literally loved working at Watermark! My role as mortgage adviser for 19 years has been varied and interesting and together we have created a safe and secure place for our clients allowing us to succeed even during the more turbulent times. The fantastic and flexible working conditions are the envy of my friends and I wouldn’t do this job anywhere else. The personal financial advice that I have taken advantage of over my years is allowing me to consider retirement whilst I am still able to truly enjoy it. The hard part will be leaving these fantastic people!"

"I love a challenge; a half marathon, triathlon, charity cycle ride in India. Nowadays it’s aerial hoop and, wow, it’s given me a new lease of life. We have gone through many changes and challenges during my time at Watermark which have culminated in a great place to spend time. This is like a second family of people I like, respect and trust. It’s not about us though, it’s all about our clients. They help to make it a wonderful place to work."

"For me, life is about spending time with lovely people, travelling to lots of different places and going on many adventures. I like to do things I never thought I could and to make amazing memories that stay with me forever, so one day I can look back and say, ‘wow, I did that.’ Since starting at Watermark I have never been happier. Within the team we have a mixture of job roles, personalities and abilities but everyone always has time for each other, and, we all have the same focus; to be the best and put our clients first. There is always opportunity for progression if you wish with support and encouragement to live our own dreams. It makes you feel truly valued. They are not just my work colleagues, they are my work family."
